Quecklink partners with Sigfox to enable asset management and stole vehicle recovery

Stolen vehicle recovery solution

  • 3.5 million vehicles are stolen worldwide every year, 700000 of them in Europe
  • Joint solutions for asset management and recovery of stolen vehicles

Shanghai/Paris, 13 April 2021 – Queclink, a global leader in IoT devices and technologies, and Sigfox, initiator of the 0G network and a leading global IoT service provider, today announced that they have entered into a partnership. The collaboration will see the launch of a series of initiatives to develop solutions in the area of asset management and stolen vehicle recovery (SVR).

Queclink and Sigfox, two successful players in the IoT industry, are working together to enable a future where the physical world is fully digitally connected. Queclink is a developer and manufacturer of IoT hardware that is driving new data-driven solutions with its smart devices, while Sigfox has revolutionised connectivity for IoT devices with its low-power, low-cost, long-range 0G network that already spans 72 countries.

These two leading IoT companies have joined forces to develop optimal and intelligent solutions for asset management and SVR. The first milestone of the partnership is the launch of the GL52S asset tracker, Queclink’s first tracking device with integrated Sigfox connectivity.

The GL52S tracker takes advantage of the Sigfox network, making it resistant to jamming signals popular with car thieves. With a small footprint and a standby time of over 4 years, the GL52S hidden asset tracker is the ideal device for tracking vehicles and static objects, as it combines Queclink’s deep expertise in developing battery-powered asset trackers with the strengths of the Sigfox network, which offers low power consumption, cost efficiency and scalability.

Queclink and Sigfox will work together to unlock even more potential for IoT, and more products with different form factors and specific applications will follow as part of the partnership.

“Sigfox is pleased to partner with Queclink, one of the leading vendors in the international SVR market,” said Ajay Rane, VP of Global Ecosystem Development at Sigfox. “Sigfox and Queclink deliver compelling IoT solutions for SVR customers that leverage both companies’ core competencies of noise immunity, innovative design, affordable and small-footprint devices, and industry-leading global coverage in asset tracking and vehicle recovery.”

“The integration of the Sigfox 0G network into our extensive range of asset trackers brings a significant advantage – resistance to jamming. This puts Queclink’s current and potential SVR customers one step ahead of car thieves,” said Alejandro Patino, VP Global Sales at Queclink. “Our partnership with Sigfox is in line with Queclink’s commitment to continuously develop smarter IoT solutions through technical innovation and partnerships.”
