2017
Foundation
At the end of 2017, Heliot Europe is founded by Thomas Scheibel and Tomáš Pavlíček with the aim of operating and offering the Sigfox LPWAN network in Switzerland, Austria and Liechtenstein.
2018-2019
Expansion
Expansion of the network in Austria and Switzerland, development of the partner network and acquisition of the first customers.
2020
Acquisition of Sigfox Germany
Cube Infrastructure Managers, a Luxembourg-based investment company specializing in the management of European infrastructure funds, becomes the majority shareholder of Heliot Europe, bringing together Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein through the acquisition of a majority stake in Heliot Europe and the takeover of Sigfox Germany. This makes Heliot Europe the largest Sigfox 0G network operator in Europe
2020
Expansion to Slovenia
With the establishment of Heliot d.o.o in Slovenia, Heliot Europe GmbH now has a total of 4 branches in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Slovenia.
2020
Foundation of the 0G United Nations Association
Heliot Europe becomes a founding member of the 0G United Nations Association, the international association of 0G network operators with currently over 55 network operators worldwide.
2021
German and Austrian postal service
In addition to the German Post DHL, the Austrian Post now also relies on solutions from Heliot Europe. Another important milestone in our history.
2022
UnaBiz acquires IoT provider and network operator Sigfox
The company Unabiz takes over all corporate assets of Sigfox SAS and the French Sigfox network. Sigfox now only stands for the technology name.

One million asset trackers
The Alps Alpine Tracker with Sigfox technology used by Deutsche Post is built for the millionth time and put into operation in the Heliot Europe network.

Launch of H solutions
Heliot Europe is developing a new strategy. With the launch of H solutions and joining the Mioty Alliance and the NFC Forum, the company is positioning itself as an independent network service provider, IoT consulting partner and solution provider.
